Python Developer

This role is for someone who genuinely values clean backend engineering, scalable APIs, and maintainable service design.

You’ll work on backend systems in a real-time, data-heavy environment where reliability, clarity, and performance matter equally. We’re looking for someone who writes Python code that is easy to reason about, easy to operate, and built thoughtfully for production environments.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs at scale.
• Design clean, consistent, and developer-friendly API contracts.
• Optimise data-heavy workflows, slow queries, serialisation issues, and redundant computation.
• Build automation workflows that reduce operational overhead.
• Improve service reliability through monitoring, logging, and proactive issue resolution.
• Work with async Python where appropriate for concurrency and performance needs.
• Participate in deployment, environment management, and operational workflows.

Who Is the Right Fit

• Has strong production experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Understands API design deeply including REST semantics, status codes, versioning, and error structures.
• Has experience with async Python and understands when async is appropriate.
• Can write efficient database queries and optimise performance bottlenecks.
• Has practical DevOps awareness including Docker, logging, deployments, and environment management.
• Writes clean, maintainable, production-oriented code.
• Can work independently and manage deliverables effectively in a contract setup.

Not a fit if:

• Your experience is limited to scripting or academic Python work.
• You haven’t built production APIs consumed by external systems or frontends.
• Your work is primarily data science or notebook-based rather than backend engineering.
• You require constant supervision to manage tasks and deliverables.
